In a meeting held between them, the Chairman of the Jaffaria Waqf Board, Shaikh Mohsin Al Asfoor and the Director of the National Library in Isa Cultural Center, Dr. Mansour Sarhan discussed the ways to improve the prospects of cooperation between the Jaffaria Waqf Directorate and Shaikh Isa National Library.
During this meeting, the Waqf Board submitted a proposal for creating a particular section for the archives of Waqfs in the National Library, and on this occasion Shaikh Al Asfoor stated: “The Jaffaria Waqf Directorate is a prestigious institution, as it is one of the first administrative institutions in Bahrain, where it was founded in 1927, and the Waqf Directorate is seeking among its priorities to preserve the historical heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain”. Al Asfoor explained: “Shaikh Isa National Library represents the mother library in Bahrain because of itsvaried sources and advanced services that meet the needs of students and researchers, and for this reason, the Jaffaria Waqf submitted its proposal to the National Library to cooperate with each other”.
